How to Reduce or Remove Delivery Charges in Meesho: Buyer vs Seller Guide

Short answer: nobody can type a delivery charge to zero. Buyers can only pick listings and offers where checkout shows less. Sellers cannot edit the shipping figure either, but they control the things that decide it: packed weight, box size, category and the listing itself. Below is what each side can do.

If you are a buyer

The delivery charge you see is set from the listing and the delivery location, not something you can switch off in settings. What you can do:

• Compare similar listings. The same type of product from different sellers can show different totals, because each listing carries its own shipping figure.
• Check the final total before you pay, not just the item price on the product page.
• Look at the offers shown at checkout for the current rules. They change often, so we do not list specific ones here.

If you are a seller: why shipping is in the price

When you add a catalog in the supplier panel, the Customer Price Breakdown shows "Shipping (added separately)". That figure is added to what the customer pays. So a lower shipping figure makes your listing cheaper for the buyer, and cheaper listings tend to convert better. It is not money you keep, so do not plan around it that way.

What sellers can actually lower

1. Packed weight. Slabs are by packed weight, so a 60g box can push a 230g kurti over 250g. Switch soft products to a poly mailer. See the slab chart.
2. Box size. Volumetric weight is Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 5000. A smaller packet can drop a slab.
3. Category and details. A wrong sub-category or inflated weight puts you in a higher slab. Enter the real packed weight.
4. The listing photo. On some products the panel shows a different shipping figure for a different photo, and on some it does not. Test it in your panel, as explained in this test guide.
5. Returns. Each return wastes the forward shipping. Better size charts and true colours lower this.

What not to do

• Do not understate the weight to get a lower slab. It can lead to weight disputes and penalties.
• Do not use a photo that misrepresents the product. It violates catalog policy and drives returns.
